Color seen as light and life

Concept guns 2008

Light creates colour. Light contains and diffuses colour across the surface of objects. Benelli has harnessed this power of light to create its 2008 concept guns: products of light and life. The balance is perfect: the stylish lines of the Raffaello Crio 20 are brought to life by light-enhanced colours. Two balanced phenomena, one surprisingly technological and the other splendidly natural, but both weightless and unfailing, come together to push forward the boundaries of contemporary art.

White represents purity, spirituality, total refraction. Green stands for nature, change, camouflage. Red means warmth, the splendour of life, and the passion of the hunt. In its 2008 concept guns, Benelli has captured the power of light and colour, and created a strong desire to touch and admire. The refraction of light gives astonishing and unexpected effects, amazing the eye as it sweeps across a myriad of hues. Stimuli and sensations follow one another in a whirl of colour in which Benelli’s 2008 concept guns are the true protagonist.

Light-mix is a gun that interprets light as a concept. Its hi-tech surfaces in original materials refract the rays of light into an infinity of hues. White complements black to emphasise the perfection achieved by this blend of technology and design. The lines and the surface textures of Light-mix reflect and conceal light in a surprising juxtaposition of effects and colours. The receiver is inspired by optical art and boasts white gold, yellow and pink engravings, arranged in subtle shapes that capture our gaze and hold us mesmerised.

Chameleon is a concept gun that transforms itself by changing colour, inspired by the animal with the most developed of all forms of camouflage. Chameleon refuses to adopt a single tone. Now you see it, now you don’t! Light and colour give this gun a life of its own and leave the observer free to explore an infinity of hues. The engraving technique and subject matter are contemporary in taste. Metal parts in brushed steel accentuate the changing tones and create effects of rare beauty. Chameleon: a gun with a life of its own.

High-life is a concept gun made from living materials, clay-red and golden-yellow in colour to represent passion, renewal, and emotion. With its purist lines, strong colours and dynamic looks, Hi-life is dedicated to true hunting enthusiasts. The theme of the engraving runs beyond the limits of the receiver, re-emerging like life itself. The flying geese motif is inspired by antique oriental prints. This classical theme is depicted in a beautifully contemporary way thanks to an original use of light and colour.
